#525 JIMMIE PETERSON & HIS DAD "WILLIE"

At a recent Pac West National event held at Albany motocross park, Jimmie Peterson, one of Oregon's premier 85cc riders happened to "blow" his engine on his race bike. Like most privateers, Jimmie has no backup bike. He and his father "Willie" could have left the raceway followed by a cloud of dust as some folks do but no.. Jimmie & Willie say"oh well, no biggie, we'll have fun anyway". So, Jimmie took hold of the digital camera and went after it. He made his laps on foot, making sure he got pics of everyone. After viewing his "shots", I was greatly impressed with his camera ability and his enthusiasm he showed with a camera. Jimmie took some awesome pics, but after hearing how good he looked behind a camera, his response was.. "Yeah, but I look way better behind a chest protector", Well, we have to agree on that one! Great Sportsmanship Jimmie.. Hope to see you ripping it up soon.

Here's just a few of Jimmie's photos

#211 TEVON TAPIA #211

Tevon Tapia, #211 Kawasaki rider, left Oregon to move on to browner dirt in California & Texas.Tevon hasn't been seen around the good ol' Albany motocross track lately, and his number has been missed by most local riders & crews here in Oregon. We have heard that Tapia has been doing very well, recently competing in the World Mini events held in Las Vegas, and as always, battling his way through the ranks in the Sport of Motocross! We miss ya Tevon.. Hope to see you at the Washougal Nationals in July

#180 Ryan Hopson Bend, Oregon

Ryan Hopson, #180 Suzuki Rider of Bend Oregon caught our attention in the BTH jr& 250cc Jr classes on Sunday. Ryan finished 2nd place overall in the Bth jr and 8th overall in the 250JR class with 8/6 finish.

Although several riders earned some "style Points" throughout the weekend, Ryan took the NorthWest Moto victory with the finish line pose (shown to the left).

Featured Rider - Albany Motocross Sept.1-2, 2007 - Rounds 3 and 4, Oregon State Motocross Championship

#17 Bill Naylor Portland, Oregon

This Motocross racer represents the spirit of the sport we all love so much. As it seems that most people over 75 years just scowl at the young folk who participate in motocross. Some may even suggest that the young people who participate in the sport are simply out of their minds. Tell that to Bill Naylor. Naylor can proudly stand toe to toe with any of the opposition. Anyone who may stand behind the fence and judge the sport of motocross racing. He is an athlete, a friend - and appreciated by all who attend the races or happened to have met him.

Bill Naylor can be seen at most events and practice days held at Albany Motorsports Park. Naylor is mentioned as a Hero of many of the folks who have known him.

Keep up the Good Work Bill.

#75 JUSTIN HILL Yoncalla, Oregon

Justin Hill Rocks the Supermini Class at Albany Motorsports Park for the Oregon State Motocross Championships, rounds 3 & 4.

He couldn't be touched for most of the weekend at Albany MX park. At times it seemed that there was the possibility of someone in contention, however Mr. Hill of Yoncalla, Oregon seemed to simply outclass the competition.

Go Justin! We'll be watching..

Featured Rider - Keno Motocross Aug 18 & 19

(above) Northwest Motos Featured Rider for the Oregon State Championships rounds 1 & 2.

Andrew Baker #624 Suzuki - 65 beginner class. This young fella caught our attention, courageously battling his way around the track to the finish. This kid didn't get the win, nor did he get the top five, but this young rider clearly stood in victory of his own.
